Block numbers АА - 001-024 were printed at the Goznak factory in Moscow.
Block numbers АА - 053-065 were printed at the Goznak factory in Penza.
Block numbers АА - 100-125 were printed at the Goznak factory in Perm.
Of each block number, 1 million notes were produced.
Denisov USSR# К3-5л. Uncut Sheets
Notes of this series were issued in uncut sheets two notes wide and five notes long (2x5). Notes in their original uncut sheets are worth a premium over those that have been cut out.
History of the Note
These notes were issued in accordance with the 21 of October, 1919 decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR (CPC). The issuance was initially carried out by the People's Bank until it was abolished. Issuance was continued until the beginning of 1921 by the Budget and Settlement Department of the People's Commissariat of Finance, in accordance to the 19 of January, 1920 decree of the CPC.
According to the decree of the CPC on 28 of June, 1922, these notes were discontinued from issuance. Exchanges were to be made at a rate of 10000 to 1 1922 rouble by 1 of October, 1922; however the date was later extended to 1 of November, 1922 by decree of the CPC on 28 of September, 1922. These notes' withdrawl from circulation began in mid-1921.
