This type is characterized by the year in Arabic numerals. Coins with year (1675 and 1676) in Roman numerals belong to type Neum.# 11.117a / v.Schr.# 1632-1634.
This piece has a very large number of variants of the bust, the reverse, the legend and the punctuation.
Mintages of 1683HS, 1684HS, 1685HS and 1687HS exist with or without an inner circle surrounding the eagle. The previous mintages all have a circle, the following mintages have no circle.
Variant of 1679 with a different crown position and a different eagle tail
The number of variants of the obverse and reverse legend and punctuation is quite considerable. Consult the catalog of F.F.v.Schrötter (pp. 161-169) for further details.
Variant 1688 AB probably does not exist, it is probably a fake, see note Neumann (p. 367) and von Schrötter (p. 169). The SCWC or NGC are by no means a reference for this part.
