Information:
- In March 2021, the Ever Given, one of the world’s largest container ships, ran aground in Egypt’s Suez Canal, blocking one of the most vital global trade routes for six days. The incident sparked international headlines, highlighting the vulnerability of maritime logistics. On March 29th, after an extraordinary refloating operation involving dredgers, tugboats, and precise engineering coordination, the vessel was successfully freed. This event remains a powerful symbol of modern engineering challenges and global interdependence.
- A decree no. 22 for the year 2022 by the government was issued on the 20th of March 2022 for producing this coin as part of a set. The selling price for one unit was set 550 EGP.
