Comments

(en)

This banknote was issued by the Honduran government to settle debts incurred during the civil conflict known as the Legitimate Campaign of 1903.

The National Constituent Assembly authorized the issuance of 250,000 pesos in notes to avoid future legal claims.

Printed in Litografía Nacional de Honduras, the notes bore the signatures of Saturnino Medal (Minister of Finance) and Leopoldo Córdova (Director of Revenues).

The design reflects both national symbolism and the urgency of post-war financial stabilization.
