(fr) Ce type semble être un hybride entre deux numéros (RRC. 28/3 et 30/1). Le buste est grand et large tandis que la victoire au revers est placée derrière Jupiter juste au-dessus du garde-boue du quadrige.
Le monnayage à la tête janiforme débute entre -235 et -226. Ces premiers didrachmes présentent la légende Roma inscrite en creux à l'exergue, sur une tablette. Ce monnayage, qui à été frappée à Rome dans le Latium, s'arrête en -211 quand commence la fabrication du denier, d'après les conclusions de M. Crawford.
