(en) - The principal way to identify this series when the date, mint name and regnal year are missing is the arrangement of the dot groups and the shape of the lotus mark on reverse. Coins with full date or RY are seldom found. When the Regnal Year is visible it refers to the reign of Emperor Shah Alam and not to Alamgir in whose name the coins were struck
