1988 - Australian Proof Set Bicentenary of Australia

This 8 coin Proof Year Set was issued by the RAM in 1988.

There were six standard definition coins included, 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c & $2.

The $2 coin was only introduced in 1988, replacing the paper $2 Note.

The 50 cent coin was a commemorative coin, celebrating the First Fleet Bicentenary.

The $1 coin was a commemorative $1 coin, also celebrating the First Fleet Bicentenary.

Coins were issued in a sealed clear plastic slab which was clipped into a beige plastic folder that was inserted into a cardboard sleeve.
