Description

This 6 coin set was issued by the RAM to commemorate the Changeover 50 years ago, in 1966, from £sd to decimal currency in Australia.

The reverse of each of the six coins is the same as the standard definitive versions from 5 Cent to $2. Each of the the obverses of the coins has a miniature Ian Rank-Broadly portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with a representation of various Australian pre-decimal coins as issued between 1937 to 1964.

5 cent coin has a Penny with Kangaroo

10 cent coin has a Threepence with Wheat Sheafe

20 cent coin has a Sixpence with the Coat of Arms

50 cent coin has a Shilling with a Rams Head

$1 coin has a Florin with the Coat of Arms

$2 coin has a Crown with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara

Coins were issued in a blister pack cardboard card which was inserted in a cardboard outer sleeve.
