Year 2005 marks the 4th Centenary of the first edition of «The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of la Mancha» by Miguel de Cervantes, one of the masterpieces of world literature. "FNMT Real Casa de la Moneda" marked this occasion with the release of a 12-Euro coin minted in silver together with a further 2-Euro commemorative coin.
