Strange discovery: 1968 Lincoln pennies are printed bigger than any other year.

It's subtle at first, but it's there: the press used for them is just slightly larger. Lincoln goes clear to the bottom, without the usual millimeter of space beneath him, and the words bleed off the top of the coin.

What's the story here? Was this a mistake, or a one-time shot at a new mold?
