I’ve seen this coin for $1000 on eBay and then $10 on the same site.

Why such a discrepancy?
Some people try to scam others by selling coins for much more than they are worth.

This Greece 2 Euro dated "2002 S" is a popular example of a coin that many try to sell for exorbitant prices by advertising nonexistent errors.

If you were wondering, the "S" indicates that it was minted in Finland because Greece could not mint enough Euro coins when it joined the Eurozone before the launch of the currency in 2002. During this time, the French and Spanish mints also made coins with the Greek design.
Or this one: https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/867648691/2-euromunt-2002-f-uit-duitsland-met?ref=shop_home_active_10&frs=1

42,260.00 € for an ordinary worn 2 € where wear and damages are explained as "errors".

But I guess that guy fell on his head: https://www.etsy.com/nl/shop/SensationalCoin?ref=l2-about-shopname
Thank you for your helpful info.

what do U think it’s worth? A $1?
even $1 would be asking alot for a coin in circulated condition.

by the way, your coin is a 1947 - B
mint mark is under the wreath.

Now, there is a scarce variety of 1947 5 franc, it was minted in bronze, for use in Algeria.
here is the much more common bronze 1946, together with one struck for Tunisia on the same planchets.
