Although there is a modest list of F&C coins here, my suggestion is to add such field to each specific coin, where members can add the most relevant data for the fake coin they encountered (photo, composition, measurements, source and of course - the detail that is suspicious).
For what purpose? Would it not be a bit strange for coin entries to include a field for items that are, by definition, not that coin (or a coin at all, for that matter)? Plus, with the sheer number of varieties of counterfeits of extremely rare coins, in some cases the details of fake coins might be expected to totally overshadow information on the genuine article.
I could see it as a category for a future overhaul of the Exonumia section, though. They can be pretty interesting when they're not being used to swindle people.
Personally I'd rather see the old fake section revived and maybe put links on the catalog page where you can look up all the listed fakes and reproductions of that entry (this would also declutter the exonumia section a tiny bit).

To prevent more people from falling into a trap.
That's exactly why I also said I think they would be worth cataloging as a proper category in a reformed Exonumia section. It sounded like your original post was suggesting that information on counterfeits be added to the pages of genuine coins. That's the part I was questioning. Entirely possible that that was a misread on my part.

First of all every coin forgery is more a coin then for example a 1Mark goldpice from 2001 to commemorate the end of the DM periode issued by the Bundesbank which is noting more then a gold medal.
Second
a counterfait coin in circulation as a coin is as long until it is detectet as a forgery a coin .In some cases forcing goverments to change the design of a heavy forged cointype like 2017 GB 1 POUND.
Third
to be a source for information for contemporary forgeries and to sharpen the awarenes for modern counterfeits to be of disadvantage to the collector. It might safe quite a bit of money if some one knows the different between a real and fake coin such as nowaday the international coinmarket is flooded with forgeries of all kind.
A capital letter F encircled for faute fake and Fälschung whith the possibility to ad pictures added next to each coin typ of the coin catalogue is in my opinion rather an advantage then an disatvantage to the coin catalogue.
