Quote: "13coinmike"Ive not let anyone (other than 4 family members) know Since 2014, that Ive been disabled/handicap.
I was not always so, in fact, I lived a lot of life fully before my medical issue arrived. Freakin 10 Surgeries later, and a lot of therapy, help, hope, tears, etc, Im finally out of the Chair, I can WALK!!!!!!! but not great, but who cares :) I cant even tell you how much this means from being confined, to now I have hope. It is why Im going on vacation, cause "I can" as a normal/well sorta normal person.
If anyone of you has issues, keep working at it, things get better, slowly, but better.
Thank you to someone on here for being there for me
Mike
You are the epitome of perseverance - well done on fighting the odds and getting back on your feet.
I like to read and hear about positive stories everyday. Your story will be related to family at the dinner table this evening.
Awesome
Awesome Mike. I have a disability too (Deaf) but got a cochlear implant inserted 9 years ago & life goes on. I also had a T.K.R. (Total Knee Replacement) 4 years ago & that took about a year to get back to walking somewhat normally.
Take care & I hope you 'recharge the batteries' (so to speak) with the "vacay."
Good luck Mike and hopefully things will improve even more I went through a very big ordeal in 2008 with very big major Surgery I was incapacitated for two years but it saved my life since then I have had 12 Years extra life and every day is a bonus have a good holiday and do all the things you can life isn't a practice run.

My issues pale in to insignificance when compared to what has been mentioned here and what each one of you have endeavored to overcome them.
TKR - the pain and getting used to walking with a new joint is a huge ask.
Congratulations! I am very happy to hear that you can walk again. Hopefully there are some nice locations to take walks near where you live. Have a fun vacation as well!
