Hi! I'm a new member to Numista and I've been reluctant to start a trade with the knowledge that I've got a pretty pitiful little collection on the go here and I kind of doubt that anyone would be interested in the common coins I have up for exchange.
However, today I snagged up a brand new Canadian 2012 Grey Cup Loonie up from my cash register hoping there would be some people interested!
I'm not very skilled with grading but I'd rate it VF (to be safe) because it's got a fingerprint on the obverse with a couple very tiny dings and the reverse has a couple more itsy bitsy dings and little smudge on it (which might be chocolate... I work in a coffee shop) that I'm way too chicken to try to clean off. Otherwise it's very shiny and quite pretty to look at!
I might be able to post some photos on request but I don't have a very high quality camera.
If anyone would be interested in trading I'd totally be willing to send it first and wait for you to get it before you send off mine. I'm looking for small denomination coins (not really picky about quality) from just about any country I haven't got already, with some gaping holes in Asia (Japan, Indonesia, The Philippines), Europe (Portugal, Greece, Sweden) and just about everywhere in the Middle East and Africa.
If there's any takers please feel free to reply here or send me a message!
Hey rachelleb, I'm also a canadian and i have found that some members here like canadian commemorative quarters (especially the coloured ones) and the loonies and toonies with different designs. If you see those at your coffee shop, hold on to them and put them up for exchange
PS: If someone has already taken rachelleb's grey cup loonie, I have some if more people are interested
PS (2): for the americans: grey cup is the NFL of canada

you need to go buy some bulk coins from one of those WE BUY GOLD guys. they don't care about world coins, just scrap metal, sometimes you can get good deals there. That would pump up your swap list/collection fast.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
