Arrowhead Silhouette token(?)

3 posts • viewed 98 times
I have had this arrowhead token for several years, that I have never been able to identify. It is the same thickness, diameter, and weight as a U.S. quarter. On the obverse, there is a silhouette of a Native American inside the outline of an arrowhead. The reverse is blank and the rim is flat. It is not magnetic, either. I don't remember where or when I got it, and otherwise have no information about it. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks!

Diameter (millimeters) :

Thickness (millimeters) :
'It is the same thickness, diameter, and weight as a U.S. quarter'.
Then maybe that is what it was - then someone smoothed down both sides,
then stamped one side with that design. Maybe.
So if it was privately done like that, might not be able to find out more.
Then again someone may still know where it is from.

I don't think that would be the case. A smoothed quarter would be thinner and lighter than a normal quarter and would also have copper partly visible in the rim. It also likely couldn't be a planchet, since they also have raised rims. I should probably mention that it's the same weight as a post 1964 quarter.
