Hello,

A total of 602 people casted their vote for the design of the 2022 token. The winning design is Frenchlover's design.

As per the Frenchlover's words: "On the obverse, the ancient Greece symbolizes Wisdom, and the owl winks at Numista.
On the reverse, France by "The Genie of Liberty" a statue located Place de la Bastille in Paris, which was figured on the old bimetallic 10 Francs coin, represents Liberty.
The dragon of the Celestial Empire evokes Strength, in the way of the first cardinal virtue, that is tenacity, courage and determination.
In a way, a compendium of the contemporary stoicism."

Here are the full results:

Thank you very much to all the participants, who submitted these excellent designs.

The next steps include the die production, the start of minting and the opening of pre-orders. I expect that the tokens will be available in May.
If you have any concern about a typo or a mistake in the design, please raise it as soon as possible.
Well done Frenchlover for winning the contest.:wiz:

Anyway Xavier, Is it possible for you to post updates of the winning design progress every few weeks?
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Well done!

Congratulation Frenchlover. :wiz:
The owl looks a little drugged. :O
How many designs were submitted and will you publish pictures of them?

Then I guess Xavier's pre-selection of the 5 best designs for voting on was rather easy.

I learn on the french for that designers were six but one of them not qualified😑

How did one not qualify?

And talking about qualifications; I thought that the token had to include both English and French, but only two did. The winning one even haf some random Japanese, for no reason. Greek owl and Japanese text. Well, why not, lol.
What are the requirements for the design?
You can propose any design that represents Numista, its values, or numismatics in general. Be creative and express your vision of Numista!
The lettering should include at least the name "Numista" and the date "2022".
You can add your initials to the design.

it has things from all around the world which it should cause numista’s members are all around the world
I am assuming someone has already corrected "the coins collectors community" to proper grammar?

I now need to make sure of what I discussed with the designer. Both "THE COIN COLLECTOR'S COMMUNITY" AND "THE COIN COLLECTORS' COMMUNITY" is correct? Up to him if he prefers to refer to the collector's individually or plurally? I don't believe either is incorrect.

Both are grammatically correct.

Xavier and I are still hesitating between the two proposals but what is certain is "coins" will lose its plural. That way you will be forced to collect only one coin :P

Like in the other thread stated I would like to see the motto of the previous two tokens kept on the reverse maybe drop the Numista in front of the dates (it's already on the obverse) for more space to rearrange for symmetry.

if it were up to me,

i would choose the second option ie “COLLECTORS” since it denotes ”our” as a group rather than the first option which refers “my” as an individual collector.
but grammatically both are correct
I would choose the first as the "community" is "ours" made up of the individual collectors. Kind of like, "Out of many, one," many individuals, one community.
and the winner is ...
THE COIN COLLECTOR'S COMMUNITY
