Ancient coin or tourist token? [solved]

4 posts • viewed 120 times

I bought this coin for a very low price, I was aware, that this could be a tourist token, but I decided to risk it. Thoughts on authenticity? (and if it's real, I would appreciate some info on it)

Weight is 2,93g; diameter is ~ 17mm (or 19mm)

Appearance is similar to some coins from Morocco.

A very good track from Morocco.  Unfortunately, not the antique AH1271 / 1855AD

Maroco, Moulay Abd al Rahman. Fals. 1271 H

Thank you, that actually does look like the coin. I had a feeling, that this coin was from Morocco, glad it was actually true.

But it's honestly strange, how modern the date is, I guess they had less modern coin minting techniques.
