Ottoman bronze manghir of Ahmad I, mint Misr Mahrusa, AH 1012-1026 = AD 1603-1617 [solved]

I have had this coin since childhood and have never been able to identify it.  Digging through my desk I run across it every few years.  I thought I would try to find out something here.

The coin is round but uneven, approximately 20 mm by 4.2 mm.  It weighs 14 grams.  It is non-magnetic with some green patina so it may be copper.  One side has a script and the other a waffle pattern.

Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Althought there is normally variability in hand-struck coins, the weight should be closer to 12 grams - please check your scale or use a more accurate one in future and report it to the nearest tenth of a gram (it makes it hard to search the Zeno database if the weight is off).

Thanks for the info.  I will take your advice.  Thanks again!
