A few weeks ago, you could find this coin when just searching for Austria and 1915. Now it's not possible anymore:

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?e=austria&r=&ct=coin&im1=&im2=&tb=y&tc=y&tn=y&tp=y&tt=y&cat=y&ru=&ca=3&no=&v=&i=&b=&d=&ie=&u=&a=&dg=1915&m=&f=&t=&w=&mt=&g=&se=&c=&wi=&sw=&o=v

Did something change or am I getting crazy? And why is it not possible? I understand that it wasn't minted in 1915, but it's still listed in the year line and would make sense for people who don't know what it is.

Hello,

There was no recent change impacting the search by date.

Note that there are two different fields for the year:

  • “Year”: the year as written on the coin
  • “Gregorian date”: the year the coin was minted or issued, in the Gregorian/Julian calendar

For this specific case, you need to use the field “Year”, as 1915 is the year written on the coin but not the year it was minted, since the restrikes were made during the period 1920-1936.

I agree this is not really intuitive. I believe it's good to keep the two distinct fields (what is written on the coin vs. when the coin was made), but probably we could find better labels.
