Small or large date ?

Hi,
I've decided to be patriotic and buy British coins. In a bumper bag of 65 coins, I found this 1855 Victoria Young Head Penny. Is it a small or large date ? Thanks in advance !

Jammy sod I need one of those ha !

On that page there is no 1855 variety of small or large date.
There is the ornamental or plain trident variety, so we need to see the other side.

Just took these quick pictures of the 1854 coin I got the other day - mine has a plain trident.

Though on the page above the penny is 34mm and my coin is 28mm so I have a half penny.  :)

There are also pictures of the different tridents at the end of this page ...

Thanks. I correct my mistake and presume it is a plain trident.
Excuse the poor yellowish lighting.
Yeah plain, ornamental is more rounded and has a round piece before the spokes.

... and the KitKat in the background!

Mmmm - that reminds me, I have a few in the kitchen; the small orange flavour ones from a multi-pack. Also shown is a Jaffa Cake bar, and a mini screwdriver set I got in a Christmas cracker, plus I won a bottle of champagne at a local fair a while ago. Shows how good and non-alcoholic I am as it is still unopened. Though may be as I have no friends to share it with, and I am sure the cat would not like any.  :x  :)
