UK Edward VII 1902 crowns [solved]

Hello, everybody.

Just out of curiosity, please could anyone tell me if they have an Edward VII 1902 crown with noticeable wear, suggesting it was actually spent?

1 Crown - Edward VII - United Kingdom – Numista

I have heard crowns did not circulate well in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, rsirian1.  I see the wear on the King's beard and hair, on the rim of St. George's helmet, on the horse's bridle, and elsewhere.

Please, can anyone else show other examples of this coin with wear?  Many thanks.

(Incidentally, I note that though crowns were issued in the United Kingdom regularly in the last years of Queen Victoria, after 1902 none were struck at all before a George V proof in 1927).

I am more experienced in the field of ancient and chinese coins, south-east asian coins included too!

These come from the coin page past sales.

Thank you, coincrze (your example looks particularly worn) and thank you again, rsirian1.
