I recently acquired one such coin, but I couldn't find any information about its minting online. Is this a casting error? What about its rarity?

NIA on first image is BRITAN NIA

GEORGIUS REX - King George. 1777.

Look for year and George III in exonumia. You can also find how his half pennies and farthings look like in coins catalogue.

But its casting looks a bit problematic, as if it has been suppressed twice. I couldn't find any examples of this situation online, so I have doubts about its authenticity.

It's this coin ( ½ Penny - George I). It might just be post mint damage through the date that makes it look like that.
