Welke info zoek je?

Wat information are you looking for?

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Ik wil graag weten hoeveel er van geslagen zijn en wat hij aan waarde heeft omdat ik er niets van kan vinden. De informatie wat he op het internet vind is van mijn munt.

To know if real, you'll need to add weight, size and material …

To get most info, I suggest posting your questions (en français) on the french forum, there is probably much more knowledge there …

Something I've never seen (what of course doesn't mean anything): that E in the O of MONETA.

Also that filling of that big hole in your coin is not in your advantage.

Iemand zei dat de e waarschijnlijk de muntmeester zou zijn. En het gat zou een test zijn geweest om te kijken of dit een volledig gouden munt was of verguld model.

That's an awfully big hole to test if it's gold or gilded.

Let's see what others say, but I have my doubts about that E.

And you're right, you can't find anything on the internet about this coin.

The coin is not listed in deSaulcy, and I do not have Flon which is more complete and the best reference for Lorraine.

If it is real, it is extraordinarily rare, and has numismatic value despite the damage.

The moneyers put their sigile in different places, so possibly the letter inside the O is OK, though I don;t think I have seen this before.  Nicolas Briseur was the mintmaster starting in 1563, so if this letter is a B, it would fit with the bust style and the date.

You could take the coin to Jean Elsen in Brussels (who is very knowledgeable on Lorraine coins) or V. Schulman in Amsterdam for authentication, though obtaining an accurate weight is the first step.

Bedankt voor uw reactie.

ik ga daar eens proberen.

maar de kunt weegt 3,3gram

en is 22mm breed.
