2 złote 1970 MS 65 - how much it's worth? [solved]

7 posts • viewed 86 times

I don't know if I should ask this question here, since the prices probably vary between countries, but in my country , in a Fischer's 2024 catalogue, UNC is worth ~50$ (MS 65 selling for ~75$ on auctions) . But, even though, I am curious how much it may be worth worldwide. * I'm asking, since I think MS65 is worth more than UNC (because UNC is like, not graded and therefore it's a general group for mint-states?)

Greetings.  NGC has a price guide.  Did you check on the prices they list for this specific coin?

https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/poland-2-z%c5%82ote-y-46-1958-1974-cuid-1085866-duid-1523816

What I typically do is check on prices for what some of the big American auction houses (Great Collections, Heritage Auctions, Stack's Bowers) have listed.  It may be hard to find this specific coin on there, though.   For instance, I checked the sales archive on Great Collections and I didn't see any sales listings for this particular coin in the past.

You can also check on places like eBay and other similar websites in your area.

First of all - tysm for anwsering! Ight sorry, I forgot about the NGC price guide. As for auction houses - I thought that there won't be much Polish coins on worldwide auction houses, but have totally forgotten about the price guide from NGC (which basically solved my case :D). And also thank you for sharing the names of these auction houses, since I don't know any, and for checking if  this coin has any archiveable listings. Greatest regards.

It's from some time ago (2017), sold for 64 euro, PCGS MS67: https://aukcjamonet.pl/search?q=914

And another one, sold in 2022, NGC MS66, for 73 €: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot=4535&p=lot&sid=5422

And here many many more but it takes some effort to find the prices. The two above came from the same list: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?term=poland+1970+2+zlote&category=1-2&lot=&date_from=&date_to=&thesaurus=1&images=1&en=1&de=1&fr=1&it=1&es=1&ot=1¤cy=usd&order=0

78 pieces and normally you should find (almost) all the prices for these, but like I said, it takes some effort.

Tysm for answering :D . Thanks for the link also! Didn't know this website existed! It surely will be useful for me!
