Hi @Hibernia @BCNumismatics

You added in the catalogue a banknote supposed to be released next Summer

https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/note450729.html

I challenge this approach :

- Numista is about collectibles; no one can collect something not event yet issued

- anything can happen between now and next Summer; we should not add any object until we know for sure it was released

I suggest we delete this banknote.

It is being released in August this year - along with 10 & 20 Pounds.

It's seven months from now; that's what I call the future

Yes, I suppose it was probably a bit precipitant to add it now. I approved it on the grounds that it exists.

As a catalogue admin, you have the authority to remove the listing.
I suggest you exercise that authority and proceed.

I am sure that we can restrain our enthusiasm for it until August.

Note, there were two requests for this banknote to be added. The other request was slightly later than BC Numismatics’ and included images which were not appropriately sourced.

Thanks, I deleted

I know I have power to do so, but my new approach is to never take Admin actions without proper discussion beforehand. It ensures transparency and, moreover, allows alignment about Numista policies :-)

Can you please explain what does it change to this discussion we had and its outcome?

I did explain that it was an upcoming new release.

Nothing wrong with having a placeholder for something that has been confirmed for release into circulation in due course.

Aidan.

We ruled that Numista do not reference future releases at all
