There are currently two levels of issuers named “United States”. I propose that Numista feature the “United States of America and Territories of the United States” for the upper level, and “United States of America” for the lower level (alongside “Texas, Republic of”, “United States military bases”, “United States Pacific islands” etc). This would be consistent with the current practice for other issuers, including the United Kingdom. Moreover, this would make it more clear to those looking for pre-statehood items.

Numista referee for banknotes from Canada, USA, Costa Rica, China, Macau, Singapore, & Taiwan.

I agree. It should be similar to the UK.

I tried with shorter: "United States, US territories" to see how it looks.
