 Confusing - with 8 coins numbered 1 to 4 then again 1 to 4 -

surely 1 to 4 then 5 to 8 - as well as 5 to 6 should be 5 to 8 presumably?

Even worse now a reply says 1 to 3 but which section? 😐

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

If all that is so, then if the second pictures of 5 6 7 are correctly orientated,

the picture in 8 is upside down compared to those.

The first 3 coin pairs are numbered 1-3 so I used that, I am trying to type in a fast moving coach in Holland and signal is dropping

Back home from my trip now and I can add that the other coins are Jahangir's pre accession Rupees as Prince with the name “Salim Shah”. they also bear Ilahi months which were solar months represented by signs of the zodiac.

Malik-al-Mulk Sikka-e-Zad Bar Zar, Salim Shah Sultan, Shah Akbar

(The Lord of the Realm Struck Money of Gold, Salim Shah Sultan, Shah Akbar)

The four I mentioned in my first post above  are Bahman (Aquarius) ,Farwardin (Aries) Amardad (Leo), 4 is another Bahman

number 5 is Tir, 6 is Farwardin, 7 is Di and 8 is Bahman.

Full sets of Rupees & Mohurs were produced , each with the sign of the zodiac.
