Hi I've inherited some coins and I've been trying to identify them. I can't find this one online is it genine shilling. On the reverse it has some small lettering as you have shown .

only weight and dimensions will tell you which coin it is, you just need to enter the year into the catalogue search for UK coins here on Numista. 3 coins are there, 6 pence, shilling & ½ crown that are silver, why you can’t find them is interesting.

„If your reply or post in the Forum stinks of AI, I will call you out! Knowledge comes from experience, the I in AI stands for incompetence.“

weighs 5.9g Lima shilling. Just not sure if it's a genuine coin as there's some letters on the reverse

If you tell us which coin it is, it would help… Can look for a die match with those features.
