islamic coin for id please

this coin has strange writing to my eye but im sure it is obvious to mainly scholars here

 

Can't help much but the top picture is upside down. Looks like a date 112(?)2 at top. Weight and diameter usually is helpful.

 

It's a Madras presidency ¼ rupee of Madras mint although they  have the mint written on the coin as Arkat, viewing the coin the right way up you can see the frozen date ah1172 on the left image. The other side has regnal year 6 and the lotus flower mintmark is clear. However the weird circle in the middle must be a counterstamp as it does not belong to the coin

looks like where a pin was soldered (before it fell off), 

 so it could be worn on clothing. 

Similar was done to this coin, as an example

i know people used coins as jewellery / ornamentation on clothing so that is very possible

usually a countermark stamp leaves a flattened part on the other side of the coin
