Is Denmark's "2 FREDERIKS D'OR" coin collectible?

Hello,

 

I have a “2 FREDERIKS D'OR” gold coin (Denmark) with the date of 1827 on it. From what I have researched, it is gold and weighs just over 13 grams. Does anyone know if this is a collectible item, or if it's literally just worth it's weight in gold? I've had no luck in getting it authenticated/appraised yet as I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada.

Yes it is a collectible item.  Check the past sales on the coin page.

Depending on the grade it can be anywhere between 3 and 6 times it’s worth in gold.
