Is it a debased Later issues rupee as said by lingen here https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=185524 the weight seems to match the non debased coins and there is a fine strike as opposed to the one on zeno.Ru . Images for reference:

I have one on zeno and l am certain it's fake as others from exact same dies appeared around the same time as well as a photo showing a pile of them. https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=280803&cat=2894&ppuser=&sortby=d&way=desc

Why are they not listed as counterfeits in zeno? Instead listed under coins

Are both the coins shown in the comment imitations?
@sujit_kumar are both the coin s displayed the same or is it a debased issue as explained by Lingden?

Does the edge look ok for a hammered coin?
It could be a debased issue or a forgery. Hard to tell from the picture.

@Vic65 is also a cast issue/ debasement as it's design is not like the others of Malerkotla & also on the obverse the seems to be a color change indicating a cast issue?

Indications of casting are pitted surface, signs on the edge of filing off the sprue, signs of where the mould was joined etc. Your coin exhibits all of them unfortunatey

It has a pitted surface and lack of sharpness to the letters so typical of casting, seeing the edge would give the answer for certain

Marked in Yellow is the typical bump along the edges you get when a coin is cast.
