There two mints with this name:

They are the same company with different locations (the main is in Nuremberg and the branch is in Berlin), so I suppose this is the reason of to have two records.

But I do not know…

  1. Why do they have different name if they are the same company?
Both should be named: Münzprägeanstalt L. Chr. Lauer
  2. Why is used the name in German instead of translate following guidelines?
Both should be named, in the English side: L. Chr. Lauer Mint

Summarising, my suggestion is:

  • Name (local, DE): Münzprägeanstalt L. Chr. Lauer
  • Name (EN): L. Chr. Lauer Mint
Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
