I found this coin close to Groenlo (Fotified city). Groenlo is mostly famous because of the battle of Grolle in 1627. A lot of stuff from that period can be found around that area.
I found this coin during metaldetecting.
Metal: Silver
What can be seen on the coin?:
1642 with a backwards 4
Size: see pictures (cm)
Weight: 4 grams
I can't find an exact match. The backward 4 is very strange and the way Charles 1 is hammered too.
Im wondering if this is a (known) minting flaw or if this is a (known) forgery.
Can anybody shed some light on this peculiar charles 1 threepence?
