Silver coin with moon on reverse/obverse

Hi,

Is there any way to find out silver coins which have moon on either reverse or obverse. If not silver then any metal will do.

   Welcome to the site.  :)
On that topic (from Feb 2012) the 4th coin down is one I own where the moon is in the foreground and in the distance is the Earth, which has been colourised. You could go to the Search on the left and type in moon and see how many coins or tokens it finds. Actually, I just did that and there are 135 results!

I copy the pictures of that coin I mention, and that is a good example (it is not on Numista) that there are more than 135 coins or tokens with moon. Either because no member has created a page for it on here yet; or there is no description on a page, so the Search would not find moon word when it looked.
P.S. Does eclipse (sun>moon>earth) count as a moon coin, as I remembered that the 6th coin down on that topic is another I own where it commemorates an eclipse in Turkey in 2006.  8)
P.P.S. Nearly forgot that the 2nd coin on there has a moon as well - it is Virgo astrology sign and has an image on the reverse of a conjoined sun and moon. I didn't know I had so many moon coins.  :8D

In those 135 results I clicked on "your collection - in" and one other I own (apart from Turkey coins which have a moon and star symbol on) there was this one (1979) which at first I thought the eagle was flying with the moon in the background. Then I read the description on the page ...

and looking closer I see it is flying on the moon and it is Earth in the background - so sort of like that Guernsey coin (2009) earlier.

The 1976 US dollar, S mint mark, in uncirculated business strike and proof versions, comes in 40% silver and is a very large coin with a moon...

I did a search on silver coins with "moon" in the design and got 17 results

It cetainly isn't all of them but it's a good point to start

Oh yes, you are right! Rather spooky as until last week I did not even have one of those. I got mine from my regular supplier, and it came in a small plastic wallet from a bank (logo is National Westminster) which was originally used for a different coin, more than likely a UK crown (25 pence) coin. Mine is just a normal non-silver coin, and I only saw the bell on it; can't believe I didn't see the moon as well, as it is a large coin like you say. Luckily I am still a bit observant, as on the same day I also got a bag of world coins from him, and in it I noticed the 45 degree error coin in the second picture ...

I'm convinced that if Eisenhower was just a little more attractive, these coins would be a bit more popular. ;)
