Aha, that i actually could not read out from any of the articles that talked about these coins. Or maybe i simply skipped these parts, lol.
I tried to google about them but didnt find anythin worthwhile. So does that mean that actually finding any of these is impssible, because not just "Low amount" was minted as articles referred to it, but also, they were never even available to any of the general public?
But then even if they were made as calibration examples, should they not be still entered to Numista as British coins that were struck as examples or trial strikes have been entered? What determines the entering or non-entering in these cases?
What I get out of the article is that they were not supposed to circulate but a few of them never made it back to the mint. They certainly can be added to the catalog. They aren't in it now probably because they are so rare that nobody has one and quite possibly nobody has heard of them before (unless they collect Irish coins.)
"What we are is not as important as what we aren't"
yeah, true probably. Im looking into my irish coins more at moment in attempt to get an idea of what i have for swap and catalogue myown coins and as always such attempts end up in internet wonderland reading up random stuff about these coins.
