This image is better and the identification, even partial, is possible:
It is a countermarked Tanga with stamp "PR 809".
The countermark was affixed by the end of the reign of D.Miguel I (1831-1834) over coins from his own reign and over coins from previous kings.
The original coin was (two possibilities):
1- "Half Tanga" D.Miguel...........

2- "One Tanga" D.Miguel............

We can easily see the AP but we cannot see the "1/2". Therefore, we do not know if it is an Half or One Tanga.
By the end of his reign it was ordered to recoin the Half and One Tangas with the stamp "PR 809". From this stamp we only can the two characters PR:

It was also usual to hammer the "Half Tanga" to make it bigger and them put the stamp PR (an illegal extra profit).
