Hi everyone;
I've just found this Iran/Persian coin and my best guess is that it is Safavid Tahmasp Shahi but I couldn't find anything exact even on www.zeno.ru
Can anyone help me identify the date or mint? Is it really Safavid Tahmasp Shahi or I am wrong??
The back of it is almost unreadable for me cause it was glued on a paper with some kind old glue (who does that??!! .
Also any idea how to remove the glue without further damaging the coin would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Indeed Geek, you are correct.
The remover I use contains ethyl acetate, alcohol, capric triglyceride
Not all remover have the same composition.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE ACETONE. Acetone is highly flammable and the fumes are toxic. Work in a highly ventilated area, preferably outside (not inside a garage) and away from any flames. Discard the acetone properly after usage!
