1822 Crown

4 posts
Bought this 1822 Crown.

it is within 2grams of book weight
Melted an ice cube the same speed as another silver crown
passed rare earth magnet test.
ping test was similar, slightly more dull of a ring, but negligible

Pretty sure it is fake though because there is no edge inscription and its diameter is 3mm smaller as if they are trying to make it look like the inscription has been worn off all around the edge.

Sure has the look of a fake.

Good thing is once I pointed out it was fake I got a refund immediately with no argument, So I am assuming they knew it was fake.  :~

Hello all: I bought an 1822 English Coin as well.It says Tertio on the side.  It weighs 27.57 Grams. My scale can be off .03 gram. My US 90% Silver Morgan Silver dollars weigh 26.73

This English coin is suppose to be  .925

This coin is not magnetic. I bought it from an antique shop and all the other coins weigh the proper amount.

What do you think about this coin? Real or fake
