Ksharpana (Eran)?? [solved]

9 posts
I've dug out 3 more of my unknown ancient India coins in the hope that someone may be able to identify them and enable me to enter them into my collection. The first one is:

metal: Copper
Size: 10.64x10.34mm
thickness 2.01mm
weight 1.27g

Hi Roy,

Here are some similar coins listed in Numista.

These are Generally attributed to Post-Mauryan Ujjain region coinage as per Wilfried Pieper.

This one looks similar, though it is a little lighter

Pieper has cataloged P#164 (3.88 grams) to P#172 (0.77 grams), all with similar punch marks. Yours is closest to #168 by weight which is listed as 1.69 grams.

Refer the coin as Pieper-168 or ACR-168 as that is the norm for using Pieper's book...
Thanks for the info. I have corrected it to read ACR

If we have any other Pieper coinage listed as P#, could you link them so we can properly change it to ACR#?

Hi Kenny
How do I "link" them?

Using P#* in "easysearch" has listed quite a few
