I've been searching hundreds of arabic coins but still can't find this one! It doesn't help that I can't make out what's written, given I don't know arabic.
Would anyone have any idea where it's from? Apparently the date is around 1300 something.

I am not very sure about the smaller coin. It seems to be 1/2 Larin as in here or some variety of it.

Oh right, I hadn't thought of them using a different calendar. Is this the same on coins from Israel (albeit a Judaic calendar obviously)?
Otherwise the smaller coin appears to be a very damaged laari to me.

Also the bigger one looks like Maldives around 1900 but I don't want to turn my head (or my screen) all the time...
I'm sure with better pictures we will be able to help you
I'm not orange and also in other things I'm not a Donald at all. DonChori like Don Felipe or Doña María, por favor.
The person above you already found out what it was though.

SRoweCollection is it better to have one set of eyes look at the coin or two. You should be happy two people came up with the same ID. Not oh ,the peson above already found out what it was. Maldives coins are very hard to ID. You should be thankful both said what they think it is.
But he didn't ID it or read what was posted above (neither did you visibly)...

So DonChorion did not say Maldives around 1900? And said he very busy doing something. But took the time to help you.He may have send it without knowing it was ID. Are you saying one pesons ID is better than two. I did read it ,did you.

And it just inches away. But dont be blind. Iam sorry but just blowing off someone who is helping you is just rude

I had an issue with this. But in all fairness it could be a translation issue. Iam sorry SRowerCollection i think i took to far.You did say thank you to everyone. I think i have my foot in my mouth.
He said to help me he needed a better photo. I just remarked that it would be too much work for both of us, since the answer had already been found and confirmed by me. I never begrudged his help or didn't appreciate it, in fact I thanked him for his muslim calendar. I just didn't see the point in taking more photos since the answer had been found.
