here another one, which I cannot find on Numista, and I am not sure whether it is a coin or not. On this link it is for sale: http://www.cgbfr.de/provinces-unies-gueldre-ville-de-doesborch,fjt_02556,a.html. I have the same one right here.
But even from the link, I don't get whether it is a coin or a token...and who did it when.
All I understand is that it celebrates the Dutch Army in the war 1598/1599 against the Spanish army...
Does anyone know more?
Nurnberg or Nuremberg was the home of several well know jeton and counter token makers.
I can be wrong of course, I tried to find the medal in several catalogs.
Here are some more of this medal: http://www.laurensschulman.nl/1671-verlangen-naar-vrede-door-de-nederlanden-19982 https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=890&lot=1561
