Fort Lincoln

I have this medal in remembrance of Fort Lincoln.
Writing on the medal:
IN MEMORY OF THE GLORIOUS DAYS
OF FORT A. LINCOLN
1862

I suppose it is not FROM 1862.
38mm, brass
Can anyone tell me some more about this?
Many thanks!

Certainly doesn't look like it's from the 1860s. Likely a token.

Could be a souvenir from this military post in northern California:

Yes indeed, that I know. But I would like to know when it is made (approx)
