India Princely State Coin? [solved]

7 posts
Hi all,

Need some help in identifying this coin. It is 'rectangular' in shape , copper, and 19+ grams. My research unveils all kinds of 'round' coins, and a decent amount of 'square' ones, but I'm having difficulties in finding 'rectangular' shaped coins. I am totally ignorant of these types of coins. Any info (origin, history, age, denomination, language & symbol translations, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Regards... Dan

Bundi Paisa coins have prominent dagger on the obverse. Also the legend on the coins are in English and Nagari. The weight is around 10-11 grams for the paisa.

Good morning all,

The information related to this category of coins is overwhelming. I would be appreciative If someone has more detailed information to this specific coin.

Also, is there a site that breaks down and describes the contents of the different areas on these types of coins? I',m even unaware which is the 'obverse' or 'reverse'... lol

Thanks again... Dan
