Is this a coin or a medallion?

I have what looks like a threepence - same size and colour with the wording elizabeth dei gratia regina F D +. It is 12 sided. It is thicker than the other three pence coins. Both sides are identical so there is no year, monetary value, etc. to go on. I have searched the internet and cannot find any reference to anything about this coin or medallion. Does anyone have any ideas?
can you provide a picture?

I have heard of it - my coin book (see below) mentions it as'undated error - double obverse' though does not say how thick it is. Welcome to the site also. :)

Assuming that is what you have - so yes pictures of it would help like the previous reply says.
Or like it mentions below, it could be two coins with heads joined together (which would show on the edge) to make a trick coin, made by someone who always called heads in a coin toss. Which would especially be true if the two coins were not cut exactly in half, so the fake coin would be thicker, like yours. (8
