Hello dear friends,
would like to ID these two pieces. Sorry, dont have better images.

First one I think is fake or modern souvenir. Question is just if such coin exist or it is fantasy?
But if you think coin is not fake, please share your opinion too.

Second is real coin, foundd several days ago here in Georgia.
But I cannot find it in NET. could you help to ID it?

thanks
D
I know very little about Byzantine coinage so please take this with a grain of salt. The 2nd coin looks it could be a Heraclius Hexagram. A lot of them were made from melted down church silverware and they were minted to fund the war with Persia.

I want to stress that I know next to nothing about Byzantine coinage so I could be completely wrong.
thank you very much, - yes looks like this one.  :)
Its a fascinating coin. Minted while Byzantium was fighting Persia and a few years before the rise of Islam. The fact that it was minted in silver shows that the empire was under serious pressure.

You are very lucky to have it.
Seems that the first coin has been going around as this is the second time that coin has been posted here. Yes, it is a fake coin of an expensive follis of Empress Irene. Dan posted a similar coin a while ago.

The second coin is spot on. Great ID..

I only recognised it because I got to handle one at the British Museum a few weeks ago.
Thank you!
Could you show a link to the real one of Irene' coin ?
Thanks

You lucky dog! I don't have the time to do anything like that anymore :(, but I do have that coin :)

Byzantine Empire: Heraclius (610-641) Hexagram, Constantinople (Sear-798)

Obv: ddNN hERACLIYS ET hERA CONST; Heraclius left, bearded and Heraclius Constantinus right, without beard, enthroned facing, both wearing cruciform crown and chlamys, holding globus cruciger. Cross between their heads
Rev: DEYS ADIYTA ROMANIS; Cross on pellet and three steps, K in right field

Nice coin. The lecturer I had at the British Museum said it was her favourite Byzantine coin because of what it stood for. I suppose it could be argued that the coin marks the beginning of the fatal decline of the Byzantine empire. Although I'm relatively ignorant about the period

It was a brilliant experience. I got to handle quite a few Byzantine coins, including coins of Justinian the Great and Empress Irene.
thank you both, dear fiends ! I will have today this coin, and will make better pictures ( I mean eond one, not Irene coin) . And it will be for swap/ trade if someone interest.

best
