Antique Japanese coin [solved]

5 posts
Hi!
I need some help to identify the date of this Japanese coin and have a possible valuation.
It was given as a present to my uncle who was a senior bank director, from Japanese clients, so I'm pretty sure that this is not a fake.
It should be a Koban 1860-1867 (Manen Era) (gold), but I'd like your knowledge.
Thank you!

Yes, this piece is 1 Ryo - Edo mint

You can check weight and diameter to see if match the catalog.
