US Mint (Bicentennial + Sestercentennial) /2 Anniversary

The US Mint is celebrating its 225th anniversary this year. And while 2017 is the 225th anniversary of passage of the Mint Act of 1792 (which established the first US Mint in Philadelphia), is 225 years a real milestone? I could easily understand 200, the Bicentennial, or 250 the Sestercentennial, but 225 just looks like another opportunity to hype overpriced coinage. Instead of flying banners, perhaps they should be spending this year reviewing their offerings and prices.

$13.22 in silver + $10.00 Surcharge paid to support the Lions Club + Design/Packaging/Minting/Reasonable Profit, doesn't add up to $46.95 + Shipping IMO.

Or: $303 in gold + No Surcharge + Design/Packaging/Minting/Reasonable Profit, doesn't add up to $460 + Shipping IMO either.
