U.S. Denver Mint Tour

I am in Denver for a coin show and the U.S. mint is within walking distance. I thought this would be a great opportunity to take a tour.

Until finally this...

The gift shop was open but I didn't buy anything.

On the positive side, there's a cafe across the street that serves breakfast and they gave me three Denver quarters in change.

Aww, disappointing surprise ending.

I did laugh at the sign though. Tours closed August 1st-3rd, Tours will resume August 7th.

Seems like really poor planning to close shop while a big coin show is in town.

I'm sure all the people who give the tours are manning the booth at the show.
