1862 UK penny counterstamp

Can anyone help me identify this?

On first glance it seems to be just a few random counterstamps; but having become so interested in Chinese coins/culture, I can now say with some degree of certainty that the counterstamps on your coin appear to be (perhaps?) Manchu script, which looks like this:

The weird thing is Manchu script was not frequently used by the 'common' Han Chinese people during the Qing Dynasty when this coin might have found it's way to China, but rather by the ruling elite.

Or I could be wrong and it could just be a random countermark made by a bored Victorian shopkeeper.
Do you think it would be worth anything?

Sorry to disappoint but I highly doubt it; as a general rule unless the countermark can be definitively traced back to some significant person(s) or event(s) (e.g. counterstamped George III on Spanish reales) in history countermarks don't usually raise their host coins' values.
It wasn't 'counterstamped' but I found a penny with initials HM.
Engravers are great with pennies especially Victorian.
I saw a bun head coin that looked like an explorer/colonist once.

Since the countermark is repeated three times, it may well be that the coin was used to test the punch. As I told you for some other such countermarks, the value is very low because the countermark cannot be traced to any particular state or individual or company. If by chance you can trace the symbol back to some "issuer", then it becomes interesting. With a better picture it would be easier to "read" the mark and translate it if it means anything. If it is Manchu, it is more likely that it originated in some Chinatown in America than in China. This is the case for the silver coins with Chinese chopmarks.
