So, I decided to do such a thing just for fun while on my European trip last year, and wow, I had a very tough time in Ireland until I found a bank willing to provide €75 worth of coin bags (€50 in €2 coins and €25 in €0.50 coins, since I actually wanted these for vending machines and toilets, since one of my destinations was Germany as well).
What I found in the €2's were not too bad among them being a 2016 Hibernia commem, a nice Unc 2013 Malta, one unc 2014 Ireland and a 2006 Torino Olympic commem.
For the €0.50's, it was majority Irish, but at least five of these Irish were Unc (3x 2005, 1 2007 and 1 2009)
As for circulation finds, while I was in Ireland I remember finding at least two Cyprus coins and well as least one Malta in change - and while I had been in Germany, I wound up getting a Luxembourg €1 from 2011 (not common!) and an Estonian in change there.
As for one mistake I made - I got a 2003 €1 in change while I was in Dublin and spent it not too long after that before I found out it wasn't exactly a common date for that coin.
Now, how easy is it to get coin rolls in France or Germany from banks, since I am definitely planning on heading to France and Germany later this year.
Also, how lucky have you been with coin circulation finds (eg finding Vatican, Andorra or even a rare date/mintmark combo) in the Eurozone so far?
